I am not sure if this was a hate crime or simply over excitement by a stage diver, but half way through Slash's solo on Sweet Child O' Mine some nutter leaps on him and smashes his "axe" to the ground. My theory is that he was hired by Axl Rose or that the fan was driven to take action by the hideously out of tune mangling that passed for the solo...Commendably Slash picked the moaning guitar up and played on but frankly it was hard to tell the difference between the solo before or after the incident...
