LEGO Sequencer

Yoshi Akai - an artist, musician and instrument designer from Tokyo, Japan - has been producing DIY musical instruments with very unique input systems as works of art, and using them in performances.

The work pictured above takes the idea of LEGO synths one step further - Yoshi has created a complete 8-step, 3 channel LEGO sequencer that actually works. The idea is that you take LEGO pieces, and place them on the sequencer grid corresponding to where you want the sound to be in the loop.
