This one's a 4 pole programable filter from Prosoniq, with envelope following, distortion and delay built in. Only available in AU I'm afraid. Oh, and while you're there, there are some pretty cool free impulse responses hidden at the bottom of the downloads page...

ReplyDeleteThis is THE ORIGINAL, the first ever free plugin from a good manufacturer to appear on the scene, I believe more than ten years ago.
It was originally VST for mac and pc (and you can still find as a VST if you search the net) and it has been used in countless productions around the world as the only no-nonsense option for lowpass filtering – in particular when wanted to filter the whole track as one does in many forms of electronic music for a dramatic breakdown, or to hide a sample.
This version has not changed a bit from the very first one except for the graphics (ugly as usual) and the fact that it's been ported to AU.
Prosoniq is a strange company, by the way. Top quality products, esoteric geeky features, but business-wise completely mad. I'd like to see them back in full shape one day, but I doubt they will ever do much else.
