I dug up these classic clips on Youtube of Herbie Hancock and Stevie Wonder, both on Sesame Street home of Count Von Count and the in no way gay co-habiting couple Bert and Ernie. I always saw the Count as probably digging The Birthday Party and B&E easing back to Paul Simon, but no! It was all electro funk round this commendably educational kids program.
The Herbie clip is cute but Stevie totally rocks the...ermmm street! Check out the kids going bananas on the stair well. When I was in short shorts watching kids TV the best musical guests they had were Howard Jones or Blancmange..
