The Best Bands of All Time - Number 10

I have started the count down for rock histories worst acts now I will do the same for the best. In at number 10: The MC5! (see the video below...)



The greatest rock acts in history have usually been the funniest, the cut off point between greatness and the dumper being how seriously they take their stupidity or how committed they are to it. The MC5 were in the latter category and HOW! Once again the none more rocking vid says it all but some things I like in it are:

The opening yell at an audience who look less like "Motherfuckers" than bank clerks on day release. The most bespectacled and center parted audience imaginable.

Rob Tyners massive honky 'fro!

Wayne Kramer waggling his velvet clad arse in some poor straights face during his solo.

All the kneeling back and "really feeling it MANNNN" soloing.

The genteel stage invader, my god revolution was all so innocent back in the day...
